Ancelotti Hopes the Young Guns Rise to the Chance

"It is a good opportunity for young players, a good chance to show their quality" Ancelotti notes. The Italian manager will give several players a chance and this is a fact not unknown to many of us.
"I want to put a lot of young players in for the next two weeks and I hope they will do a very good job before all the players come back who were involved in the World Cup."

The Italian meanwhile also reported that new signing Yossi Benayoun and Yuri Zhirkov will not start as they have minor injuries but could be fit for the Ajax friendly. "Zhirkov came back after holiday and he had a problem with his knee so we want to wait until he is fit. Benayoun had last week a little problem with his groin. He is the same as Zhirkov, they could play against Ajax. Mancienne had a little thigh problem during this week."

Ancelotti seems to prefer delaying the choice of loaning out his young guns. He feels that he wants to wait till the start of the Premier League to send out the youngsters to gain experience. "Now we are looking at this because last season we had a lot of players who were on loan and we will take a decision at the start of the Premier League if some players can stay here or go on loan."

The kind manager also said that he hoped that by drawing a large crowd to the friendly the club could help Crystal Palace financially. "If there is an opportunity with this game to help them then we are happy."
