Bastian Schweinsteiger not bound by German Giants

German midfield maestro Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has been recently linked with Chelsea, is refusing to rule out a move abroad. He claimed that Bayern Munich are "great" and that they "didn't reach the Champions League final without good reason".

But the German, who impressed for his country in the 2010 World Cup, also said that he is excited by the prospect of playing abroad.
"The Bundesliga is great, and has become more important, but if I were to move on then, of course, the idea of going abroad is what excites me."

Bastian Schweinsteiger has already replaced Michael Ballack in the national team and the possibility of him doing the same at Chelsea is certainly not out of the question.

Chelsea who are in the process of rebuilding their midfield have been frequently linked with the midfielder. According to reports, a opening bid has already been rejected by the Bundesliga Champions.
