Will Loan Deal Be Good Decision?
Reports again have started to emerge that Serie A outfit Bologna who just managed to stay in the top flight last season are interesting in landing our youth prospect for a season long loan deal which will guarantee him first team football.
But given the fact that we already have released our two mid-fielders Ballack and Joe Cole plus Deco is also set to quit to return to home land, and haven't signed replacements for two of them, Loan move for Matic will create only problems in the midfield as we already are lacking the replacements and no one from the academy is ready to fill the gaps of Joey and Ballack for me this is the wrong move by Chelsea.
No doubt that Matic will be benefited by this move as he will get the chance to play week in week out and will improve himself quickly but we should also take into consideration that if players like Lampard, Essien or Mikel get injured during the season then who will replace them?
So in my personal opinion, instead of sending him on season long loan deal we should cut it to the mid season OR we should not send him on loan at all and rather give him chances regularly in quite easy going matches and F.A. Cup and Carling cup tournaments, due to this he will get accustomed to premier league and British game as well as will be there to step in if any midfielder injures himself.
Instead of loan deal but give him regular chances in the first team.
