Potential Goal Tally

Chelsea Stars and Fans Set For Biggest Season Yet!
After seeing the club kick start the season with 12 goals in our first 2 games. A Chelsea fan honestly, couldn’t ask for more. With Drogba and Malouda now sharing the top scorers position we have started the season brightly. We spend more time returning to our side and letting the opposition keeper fetch the ball from his net. With the addition of Benayoun and Ramires and the analysis of our first 2 games we can estimate one thing.  We will once again break the goal record, which the club set last season itself.

Those players being Salomon Kalou, Florent Malouda and Nicholas Anelka. With Didier Drogba starting with a hattrick we can once again expect 30 goals from the Ivorian.  That already gives us 90 goals.
It might seem amazing but the team has already scored 11% of the goal tally that we achieved last season. Such a stat shouldn't go unnoticed! The players are clearly enjoying getting forward and scoring goals, giving the owner and the fans the attractive football that we have longer for.
New additions like Benayoun and Ramires will also be expected to contribute. Last season Ramires scored 4 goals for Benfica, but with a more attacking style of play he could be expected to contribute with at least 8 goals. Pacey Israeli Benayoun could add with his expected tally of 10 goals. His ability to score and create goals is what makes him a brilliant player.
Giving us a total of 104 goals. Then Frank Lampard adding his regular 20 to the tally we will have a stunning total of 124 goals. With the rest of the team contributing with a minimum of 1 goal each we reach the total of at least 130 goals.
Then we must look at the fact that players like Sturridge will step up to the plate and give competition to the starting players at the club. If the young Englishman can improve on his last seasons tally then we can have at least 7 goals from him. Taking us to nearly 137 goals.
These predictions are simply us being optimistic. Of course there is a chance, god forbid, that some players wont perform when some will. But thats Football. So I suggest my fellow fans to sit tight, fasten their seat belts and prepare for the highest scoring season at Chelsea Football Club yet.
