Ramires Gets Work-Permit .......

Obstacle Cleared

JOHANNESBURG, June 29, 2010 Ramires (front) of Brazil vies with a player of Chile during their 2010 World Cup round of 16 soccer match at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, on June 28, 2010. Brazil won 3-0 and is qualified for the quarterfinals.    Chelsea's new summer signing Ramires has been granted a work permit to play in England after the legal proceedings to take place in London yesterday.

Ramires has been granted the work permit under exceptional circumstances. According to the original rule, non-EU player must have to play 75 percent of national team's matches in last two years to obtain the work permit in UK. but Ramires's case was exception to that.

After lengthy proceedings it was agreed that Ramires is exceptional talent and his move should not be tapped just because of the prevailing rule and hence he was granted the permit.

Chelsea have already agreed to pay 18.2 million pounds to Benfica for Brazilian sensation and will be officially declared as club player in coming days. but its almost certain that he will not be featuring in season opener against West-Brom.
