Chelsea Times - Daily Reporter - Terry, Lampard Doubtful, Drogba Not Available

    Daily News and Analysis

Trip to Slovakia may be without star players
We will be traveling to Slovakia in midweek for a game against Zilina where we will kick start yet another hunt for Champions League but it seems that we will have to do in the first match without our three marquee players viz. Terry, Lampard and Drogba.

Duo in Danger to Miss The Flight

Drogba will not be available because of his 6 game suspension imposed by UEFA for his behaviour after the match against Barcelona prior to the last season. and he will definitely miss the journey. Other library services are likely to miss the game with injuries. Though JT made a comeback against West Ham last weekend but had to be taken off because of the rib injury he sustained. So he and Lampard will undergo thorough medical examination by club doctors and then only their trip will be sanctioned.
Anelka and Kalou are most probables to start the match at upfront, but we will discuss more about this in match preview article.

'We still have a lot to do, The season is very long, but we have played some good football and are scoring a lot of goals - we have to keep going like that.' - Essien
Essien was quoted as saying this according to the DailyMail. This shows the down to earth character of Essien who was not at all in over confidence despite netting two goals against Hammers. Its really good sign of being a wordless player, always keeping your feet on the ground. We also agree that the season is very long but still all the blues are confident that if team keeps performing like this throughout then another glory is surely upon us. Well fingers crossed here.

Mancienne may be leaving Chelsea further his career.
Michael Mancienne who is out on loan again this season to Wolverhampton has said that he may have to move away from Stamford Bridge to further his career and get more and more regular first team action. Mancienne spent whole last season with the same team did get good number of chances at Malineux and would like to make a move permanent. To be fair, I know many of you would not agree with me on this but it really wont matter to us even if he leave cause I really did not like his performance with Wolves. He looked lazy and hesitant to give his everything while playing and made his bad impression in my mind. but lets see what happens and do not get surprised even if he moves away.
