Josh McEachran, Ready to Step it Up

Carlo Ancelotti hasn't made it unknown of his admiration for 17-year old English Josh McEachran. The youngster has blossomed in the clubs last 2 defeats. The Italian clearly feels that this U-17 European Championship winner has talents that shouldn't be sent out on loan.

"We won't be sending him on loan. He will stay here and play here. We now have one more player. It's a surprise because he is a very talented player and we prepared a programme for him to improve but I think he is improving very quickly."

Josh McEachran was instrumental in us fighting back from 3-1 down to 3-3 in our midweek tie against Newcastle. The young Oxford born midfielder has been praised ever since the impressive FA Youth Cup win last season in which he was instrumental.

The 17-year old has been compared with compatriot Jack Wilshere and many would hope that in the near future these two youngsters could lead England to glory.

"He is very young but he showed fantastic ability and quality. So it is possible. If we need him he is ready to play the Premier League and the Champions League. I am not afraid to put a young player in important games because he has fantastic quality."

With a Champions League game against French Champions coming up there is a serious possibility that Josh McEachran could play a role. Carlo Ancelotti said that "There is a possibility he can play a part against Marseille. We may need someone because without Lampard, without Benayoun we don't have a lot of midfielders. And if we need him I think we can count on him."

Josh McEachran has definitely made himself heard on the field with impressive performances and with excellent footwork and composure. He is definitely the future of Chelsea.
