Match Preview - Chelsea Vs. Blackpool

     Attack-minded Visit Opponent Thrashers

    Ya, that's the best headline which I came up with to describe both the teams in one sentence. but its true, isn't it? Considering the so far record of both the teams until now this season we all can hope that tomorrow's match will be full of excitement.

    We will be playing on Sunday for the first time this season and good thing is that the match will be after the one at Old Trafford. so players will be already knowing the result out there and if only if United drop points then its the additional boost for us before taking the pitch.

    First lets talk about visitors. Blackpool led by Ian Holloway are having the flying start in the premier league so far. They are currently sitting at the 4th spot with 7 points and have managed to score 8 goals and conceded the same. They have played unusual attacking play as one wouldn't be expecting a newly promoted team to go straight on attack as these teams have to defend against mighty Premier League sides. But these 'Seasiders' seem to be exception to this custom. On the other hand they have been ruthlessly beaten by Arsenal when they visited Emirates couple of weeks ago. but they also beat Newcastle by 6 goals. so in short what we can say is that these players will not go on back foot just because they will be up against Double Winners of last season. so any complacency in tomorrow's game by us will prove costly.

Anyone Can Score

    Now about us, We are having tremendous goal scoring run for a time. In league only we have scored staggering 17 goals and have been replied by just the 1. so we are looking good at both the ends. On top of that 8 different players have been on the score sheet so we wont have to depend wholly on the strikers for a goal. Its a pretty good sign of having a strong team and we are proving it again and again. Lampard will miss the game as he needs more rest to recover from injury. but Ashley and Drogba who were absent for the trip to Zilina will be on the field again. Ramires is supposed to start again in the midfield alongside of Essien and Mikel. or we might even see Benayoun starting the game.

    Goals my be not be flooded tomorrow at the Bridge as team will be playing third game in 7 days and also another mid-week game coming in, we might see rotation policy being applied by the manager to keep the players healthy and so to give chance to everyone.

    At the end of the day what matters most is getting all the 3 points from the game and sitting on the top. and there doesn't seem to be any difficulty in achieving it even if we are against attack minded team.

    My prediction -> 3 - 0
    Player to watch -> Essien as he has been in deadly form so far.
