Match Preview - Chelsea Vs. Newcastle

Young Blues Ready for The First Step

Today's game will be among the very special game in recent history of Chelsea as for the first time Chelsea will rely on its academy's young talent for the result. Carlo Ancelotti has has already said that the Carling Cup tournament will be used to give the very precious first team experience.

After Roman took over our club media always criticized Chelsea for expending huge sum of money and not giving enough chances to its academy players. But things were going in the academy with plans in mind. Developing players and making them ready for the class of Premier League is not the thing to happen is a blink of an eye. It takes lot of time, lot of patience and lot of planning.

Dawn of The New Era

And it seems that today is the day when we all will finally experience what was going behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge as most of the starters of the game will be from our very own academy. Likes of Kakuta, Borini, Bruma, Aanholt and McEachran are supposed to be the starters alongwith another hot prospect Sturridge. May be they some of them will start from the bench but surely they will get the taste of playing at The Bridge when more than 40000 spectators will be keeping an eye on your each and every move.

Terry also said yesterday that the club has pretty good mixture of experienced players and quality youngsters who are showing some promises and he also went on to say that this players will carry Chelsea in upcoming years. We also are cent percent agree on it. Afterall the pleasure of watching your own academy players taking the role at senior level can't be expressed in words cause it needs the passion to feel that joy.

No matter what will be the result tonight but we will have achieved something remarkable at the end of the day.

Well now talking specifically about the game, Lampard is all set to miss the game. also Malouda and Drogba will be not playing as they deserve to get some rest before trip to Manchester this weekend. Ashley might be sitting on the bench and Aanholt will take his position whereas Zhirkov will be at Malouda's position. It may also happen that either of Mikel or Essien will also be left out. Whether Terry will be playing or not has not been cleared yet. Whereas Turnbull will guard the goal post instead of Cech. Interesting thing is that as a child Turnbull supported Newcastle having born there. Although no starting line up has been declared officially by the manager but considering the facts this seems likely to happen.

Prediction --> I really dont care (for tonight)
Player to Watch --> any youngster who takes the field.
