Chelsea Times - McEachran, Bertrand and Pro Contracts to Academy Player

    Day of Contracts for Chelsea Youngsters


     Chelsea FC today announced that its academy products Josh McEachran and Ryan Bertrand have signed new contract with the club. McEachran penned 5 year deal while Bertrand extended his stay at Stamford Bridge by 4 more years.
     In an interview McEachran said, 


'I have wanted to do that since I was a kid, since I joined when I was eight years old. It will be good if I do but I need to keep working. This season my target is just to play more minutes. Hopefully I will play more games and keep improving.'

    Whereas Ryan Bertrand, who made his debut for Chelsea last season against Birmingham at Stamford Bridge and celebrated that day with the assist has become third academy LB to sign a deal with the club in last 6-7 months, followed by Patrick van Aanholt and Ben Gordon.


    Also it was happy day for few other youth prospects as well when academy prodigies Amin Affane, Todd Kane, Jamal Blackman, Archange Nkumu, Daniel Pappoe also signed pro contracts with Chelsea today. Affane and Nkumu have been offered two year deal while rest have signed contract for 3 years.
